How Our Calculators Work
Kloora calculators give estimates from published rules and standard formulas. They run in your browser, and what you enter is not stored. Use them to plan, then confirm anything important with an official source or a professional.
US paycheck and income tax
These pages use 2026 federal figures for the standard deduction and tax brackets, plus Social Security at 6.2% and Medicare at 1.45% of wages. Official references are IRS Publication 15-T for withholding and the Social Security Administration for the wage base.
Not included: most credits, local taxes, and employer specific deductions, unless a page asks for them. Your employer's payroll system decides your actual withholding.
State pages
State pages use published state rates in a simplified way. Many states have detailed rules, so check your state revenue department for your exact case.
Mortgages and loans
Payments use the standard amortization formula: M = P x r x (1 + r)^n / ((1 + r)^n - 1). Property tax, insurance and fees vary by lender and location, so your loan estimate is the final word.
Currency rates
The converter uses daily mid-market rates from a public exchange rate feed. Banks and money changers add a margin, so the rate you receive will differ.
