Method 1: on-screen keyboard

The page shows all Urdu letters, diacritics, digits and punctuation. Click or tap a key to add that character. This needs no setup and works on any device.

Method 2: phonetic typing

If you already know the English keyboard, phonetic mode maps Roman letters to Urdu sounds. You type the sounds and the Urdu letters appear. It is much faster once you learn the common pairs.
